Are there any online resources to help me learn about my ownership options?

Marriott Vacation Club^® has created a handy resource called the “Detailed How-to-Use Guide,” with versions for Points Owners, Weeks Owners, and Enrolled Owners.

You can find this helpful guide on the Helpful Tools page of your Owner website, under the “Education and Resources” tab. In the same section of the website, youʼll find other helpful tools, including:

• When Can I Reserve – Weeks Owners can find out the earliest date that a reservation can be made at their Home Resort, and Points Owners can find out when reservations are available for booking using Vacation Club Points.
• Helpful Videos – Short tutorials that will help Points and Enrolled Owners understand their Owner benefit level, Use Year, Club Dues, the process for booking reservations, and more.
• Important Dates Calendar – Points and Enrolled Owners can enter their Owner benefit level and the beginning of their Use Year (if they are a Points Owner) to generate a printable PDF that includes their important dates and deadlines.
• Points Charts and Calculator Tools – Discover how many Vacation Club Points you need to stay at each Marriott Vacation Club resort or property.
• Resort Calendar Tool – Learn which weeks are included in each season at your Home Resort (this is designed for Weeks Owners).
• Webinars – Find links to complimentary webinars that offer a more comprehensive overview of each of your options, whether you are a Points Owner, Enrolled Owner, or Weeks Owner. All webinars are recorded and will be available for on-demand viewing from your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

I attended a seminar a few years ago at one of the resorts that provided updates and tips for Owners, but I’d like a refresher. Do you offer anything similar?

Get to know Diego

Diego has worked in the Owner Services office in Cork, Ireland for two years. He works with Owners to help plan their itineraries and use their ownership strategically to get the most from their vacations.

What is the most memorable vacation you’ve helped an Owner confirm?
I assisted an Owner with reserving hotel stays in Peru. It was a very productive call, as I could share with her my mother’s experience in that country and give her some tips and recommendations regarding Cusco and Machu-Picchu.

What is your favorite vacation destination?
Italy (I have been there six times and counting). For me, Italy is the perfect destination, as it offers culture and history, gastronomy, nice weather, a beautiful language and people, and variety — the northern and southern regions are quite different from each other.

What activities do you enjoy on vacation?
Sightseeing, visiting landmarks (especially if the destination has any famous works of art), tasting local food, going to flea markets; I try to venture outside of the tourist areas to experience the true local lifestyle.

What are your hobbies?
I love walking, reading, attending concerts, and visiting nice places near where I live (there’s plenty of them in Ireland).
